![]() Okay, after writing the previous post, I remembered vaguely something about setting up my FastTrack the first time. I have power, drivers, Windows uses the FT, and ASIO recognizes the FT, but Reaper can't let me get at the FT for input. Meanwhile I have the FT set as the default audio output for Windows - so I can hear online sounds (music etc) through the speakers attached as FastTrack output, so I know the FT is functional. Also, when I arm a track for recording, the FastTrack is not available (only the built-in laptop mic). But now the Reaper Pref window for audio Device DOES NOT SHOW FastTrack as an input or output option. The sample rate is set at 44100 just like it was on my old XP laptop. The ASIO config window shows the FastTrack as active and ready. Please check your sync settings in the Control Panel." I was able to go to Audio Device prefs in Reaper and CHOOSE ASIO4all and the FastTrack.īut then when I tried to USE the FT for recording - I tried both mic (line 1) guitar (line 2) - I kept getting error msg popups telling me "The ASIO sample rate is not supported by one of the USB interfaces. Then I could get Reaper to SEE the fastTrack. ![]() I downloaded new drivers from m-audio and ASIO4all. Reaper works, but my old FastTrack is not.įirst, I figure out it was a power issue, because in changing stuff around on my desk I had pulled out the power line from the powered USB hub that the FastTrack goes into. Coincidentally, I just got a new laptop, and I am trying to get everything going on it from my old one.
